Nitrogen is one of the major nutrient required by plants and is taken up in the form nitrate in the case of most garden plants 🌱

Plants will take it up and through an energy intensive process turn it into amino acids which will further be used to build proteins, the building blocks of life 🧱

By having access to amino acids the plant is able to redirect some of the energy previously mentioned to other metabolic functions such as health, flower/fruit production or terpene production. ♻️💪

Over application of amino acids will not burn plants as the nitrogen is not in a nitrate form however microbial activity will break it down and turn it back into nitrate over time ⏱
