We take pride in every batch of soil that we produce and have gone to great lengths to make sure quality and consistency is the priority. That is why we only use the best raw inputs we can source to craft our premium living organic potting mix.
We focus on balancing the nutrition levels of our soil mix to be in line with target levels needed to optimally grow cannabis (and other) plants in vegetative and flowering stages. We achieve this by frequently testing our grow mix with reputable soil laboratories in the USA and South Africa.
Let’s break down our living soil mix.
The mix: Nutrient Enriched Compost (see nutrient list below), Vermicompost (castings), Biochar, Buffered Coco Peat Coir, Sphagnum Peat Moss, Perlite and Vermiculite.
The following raw amendments get homogeneously mixed with the compost in small batches and is then matured (a.k.a. “cooked“) for 21 days or more.
Macro-nutrients
Nitrogen: Alfalfa Meal and Blood Meal.
Phosphorus: Bone Meal and Soft Rock Phosphate
Calcium: Gypsum and Calcitic Lime (pH Buffer)
Sulfur: Gypsum
Potassium and Magnesium: We do not add any additional potassium or magnesium as the compost provides sufficient amounts.
Micro-nutrients
Trace Elements: Basalt Rock Dust and Kelp Meal
If a soil lab test indicates that any other micro-nutrients such as Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc or Boron are below target levels then we will add trace amounts to boost these elements.
Silica: Diatomaceous Earth
Additionally we also add a little Insect Frass for chitin, Malted Barley for enzymes, Humic Acid to chelate the nutrients and Synergistic Microorganisms to boost the microbial populations.
